Director and writer John Wells (best known for his work on ER, The West Wing & Shameless) is bringing a new film to UK cinemas this November, starring Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Silver Linings Playbook) as a dysfunctional haute cuisine chef.

Burnt tracks the story of Adam (Cooper), a talented Michelin chef whose past drug abuse and personal demons have brought his high-flying career to a crashing halt. Freshly returned to London, Adam sets his mind on redemption by establishing a restaurant with a goal of three Michelin stars: but to achieve this, he must get London's top chefs on his side – by any means possible.

We are particularly excited for Bradley Cooper's performance, who has previously been nominated for two Academy Awards alongside Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. With an impressive supporting cast including Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Uma Thurman, German actor Daniel Brühl and French sensation Omar Sy, Burnt looks to be a gritty take on the dog-eat-dog restaurant industry.

Burnt will be released in UK cinemas on 6 November 2015
