Backstage at Beckham, the key aesthetic was to enhance faces but for make-up to be 'undetectable', said make-up artist Pat McGrath. She used Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Foundation, £60, and then applied a little translucent powder just on the side of the nose and forehead to control shine, yet still enabling a natural glow to radiate around the rest of the face.

Olivia Rubin

To create that bigger-is-better 80s hair backstage at Olivia Rubin, hairstylist Zoë Irwin used a spritz of GHD Root Lift Spray, £14.50, to offer instant and easy volume and used GHD's latest dryer, the Helios, £159. It's been designed by physicists and engineers and has 75mph airflow, but it's super-quiet and kind to hair.
While the make-up was equally vivacious with hot pinks and a liner combo, the metallic liner hasn't dropped yet, but it will in a few days at CharlotteTilbury.com. However, you can get your hands on the blush and lipstick: Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic (£30) in Love Glow and Love Is the Drug. And on the lips K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Moisturising Lipstick in Velvet Underground, £25.
JW Anderson

Session stylist Anthony Turner designed a slick wearable style backstage at JW Anderson by applying L'Oréal Professional’s Tecni.Art Pli Shaper, £12.05, to add shape and hold back any flyaways or unruly tendrils. Add a little hair oil to enhance the shine, such as L'Oréal Professional Mythic Hair Original Oil, £14.75 – it's on sale at lookfantastic.com.

The show inspiration was the film noir adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's Don't Look Now set in 70s Venice and the designs, hair and make-up modernised the ornate source. The hair was ultra-shiny with movement and courtesy of Wella's EIMI range. Eugine Souleiman was the hairdresser du jour, and he used the Wella Professionals EIMI Sugar Lift, £9.12, to thicken strands and just before the models stepped onto the runway, he spritzed with Wella Professionals Glam Mist shine spray, £11.52, to really 'bling it up', says Souleiman.

Molly Goddard
![](/redactor_uploads/4d25f0983a5aa8ed2af67158530f793e.jpg)
Make-up artist Hiromi Ueda took inspiration from all of our childhoods' and said she wanted the models to look like 'they'd been playing through mother's make-up box'. We don't remember the smudgy lips and clumpy lashes ever looking this good. Maybe it was down to M.A.C. pro range, as this was the go-to brand. Try the new M.A.C Loud and Clear Lipstick in Sugar Dada, £17.50, and In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Mascara, £20.
