By Sarah Joan Ross on 7/7/2020

FOOTCARE ESSENTIALS
FOOTCARE ESSENTIALS
We don’t need the findings from The Royal Society of Chiropodists to know that blisters occur more often in hot weather – we just need to look at our feet, covered in plasters, to realise that with summer comes sore soles and swollen ankles. And with no salon nurturing in sight, you need to up your at-home maintenance.

Here’s our editor-approved products to nurture feet when hot-footing it around town, park or beach in the heat.

BLISTER PREVENTION
pre heels PreHeels, £4.99

Have blisters already? Here’s the remedy:
Blisters are often caused by the toe-stops of flip-flops rubbing between the toes or by sandals rubbing on bare skin. Try wearing them around the house first with socks on to stretch them a little. If you do get a blister, don’t pop it. Cover it in a plaster and if it bursts apply some antiseptic.
