Beauty Pie, the luxury beauty club, has announced its first pop-up at Harvey Nichols from 12 March

What is Beauty Pie?


It’s the brainchild of beauty guru Marcia Kilgore, of Bliss, Soap & Glory, and Remède fame, who’s given facials to everyone from Uma to Madonna and Oprah.


Think of it as a democratisation of deluxe. It’s a beauty members club that keeps overheads to a minimum, so you benefit from the tremendous high-tech formulations and products – straight from Beauty Pie to you.


They operate ‘cost transparency’ so you can see the cost of the ingredients, testing, and fulfilment, without any middlemen, celebrity marketing, or retailer mark-ups. For example, typical industry prices on luxury cosmetic products can be up to 10 times the actual cost of the finished product, fully packaged, boxed, and ready for sale, so you could pay £20 for something that costs £2 to make, or you might pay £300 for something that costs £30.



What is the Beauty Pie pop-up?


Beauty Pie’s first-ever pop-up will sit in the middle of Harvey Nichols’ ground-floor beauty department and will give members (and the public) the chance to shop Beauty Pie’s product line-up, play with the fragrances, skincare and cosmetics and meet Marcia and the team. Members shop at Buyers Club prices, up to 80% off, Drop-In Pass holders will get 50% off, while everybody else will pay the regular RRP.


There will be several Beauty Pie masterclasses and Marcia Kilgore skincare workshops throughout the three-month event, with experts on hand to recommend the latest products that are best for you.


Marcia Kilgore says: 'Beauty Pie started as a digital brand because we hoped it would be a convenient way for us to test the idea of a luxury beauty buyer’s club without having big retail overheads.


'Of course, many people wanted an opportunity to touch and feel and smell the products before joining, and we knew eventually that pop-ups or another form of retail would be required, but we wanted to do it organically.


'Harvey Nichols has the vision, the sense of humour, and emboldened take on radical new retail ideas - and knows how to keep their shopping experience fresh, fun and new.'


Beauty Pie pop-Up at Harvey Nichols opens on Thursday 12 March 2020 and will be open for 12 weeks.
