Located in the heart of Islington, The King’s Head opened when Shakespeare was still cutting his teeth on the London theatre scene. Hugh Grant made his early break there, followed actors including Clive Owen, Ben Kingsley and Gary Oldman. The building may Victorian, but a tavern has stood on the site since Elizabethan times. One of London’s best-loved fringe venues, this pub-theatre is run by the wonderful Stephanie Sinclaire.
