The Orange Tree Theatre is an friendly little in-the-round theatre in Richmond. Originally founded in 1971 above the Orange Tree pub, with audiences seated on church pews, it moved across the road to its current site in 1991. The theatre is noted for its track record in discovering brilliant new writing as well as promoting rediscovered plays. With only 180 seats, it is a great place to see theatre up close.
