New Terrace Wires Commission, St Pancras International, London
St Pancras International gets the Tracey Emin treament with I Want My Time With You, the latest public art commission to adorn the station

While the surface message appears whole-heartedly romantic, the underlying message nods to the troubling political situation Britain now finds itself in. Emin, an avid anti-Brexiteer, sees the new work as 'a great subliminal message to the rest of Europe'. Proud of being part of the EU, Emin, admits that she is 'devastated by Brexit' and that she hopes to make 'a statement that reaches out to everybody from Europe arriving in to London'.
Refracting its soft pink light around the station, the largest text piece ever made by Emin will welcome and uplift the spirits of the 50 million passengers travelling through St Pancras station each year. Artistic Director of the Royal Academy, Tim Marlow, has said 'I can think of no-one better to present to the international audiences of St Pancras'. As one of the 'most important and influential artists in the world', St Pancras has well and truly got the Tracey Emin treatment!
