London Design Biennale, 2018

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2016, London Design Biennale, 2018, returns to Somerset House this September with more than 40 participating countries, spanning six continents as part of London Design Festival.

Each exhibiting country will present ideas, artworks and installations that respond to the theme of 'Emotional States', and explore the complex relationship between design and the environmental, social and emotional issues we face each day.

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair – Europe’s largest and most prestigious African arts festival – returns to Somerset House for its sixth year this October.


Among the highlight 1-54 Special Projects is South African Athi-Patra Ruga’s first major UK solo show, in which he explores the perception of cultural identity in his native country.
