Adjoining Hackney Central station, Our/London is an artisanal vodka producer (its label changes depending on the city you're in – Our/Berlin, Our/New York, etc) distilling some of the best spirit in the city. This summer the distillery will throw open its doors to host Brutalism – an exhibition curated by young contemporary artists Joe Clarke and George Stevens.

In their latest body of work, Clarke and Stevens explore subjects related to Britain’s working-class urban environment, atmosphere, architecture and landscape. They reappropriate raw industrial materials typically found on council estates and building sites to create angular architectural shapes that ooze a disquieting beauty.

By playing with textures, colours and objects that are typically associated with the impoverished, gritty environments of inner-city London, they uncover beauty where it’s least expected.

Brutalism will be open to view by appointment only. Contact london@ourvodka.com to book now.
