Blooming marvellous: London's finest floral inspired menus
Culture Whisper rounds up the best cocktails, savoury dishes and teas paying homage to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - surely the most anticipated horticultural event of the year. To escape the crowds and get ahead of the game book your tables now
From the 22nd - 27th May Jamavar celebrates the Chelsea Flower Show with a lavish menu, laden with flowers and inspired by the season’s best edible blooms.
Created by Head Chef Rohit Ghai, the floral-inspired menu will feature regional Indian dishes with a twist. Try shell crab, topped with coriander flower and wild garlic flower to start and traditional Indian ice-cream, of rabri, rose petal and chocolate pink peppercorn to finish.
Jamavar's signature cocktails and Gin and Tonics, garnished with herbs and spices from their very own Botanical Garden, are also the perfect pre-dinner aperitif.
What's more McQueens of London, Jamavar’s resident florist, have also been commissioned to create a bespoke installation to dress the restaurant throughout the week of the Show. While the restaurant's opulent fixtures and fittings are worth a visit alone - we're talking rustic floorboards, brass lanterns and lavish mirrors - May will see Jamavar in all its splendour. iPhones at the ready.
