Rembrandt, Portrait of Marten Soolmans and Portrait of Oopjen Coppit, 1634

The Pendant portraits of Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit are a pair of full-length wedding portraits painted in 1634 by the Dutch Old Master painter, drawer and printmaker, Rembrandt.

Formerly owned by the Rothschild family, who made their fortune in banking, they were purchased by the Louvre Museum and the Rijksmuseum in 2015, after both museums agreed to pay half of the €160 million price tag, a world record for any work by Rembrandt.
