What if the asteroid that had destroyed the dinosaurs missed earth all together? Who would walk the earth – and what would they be like? This is the premise of the The Good Dinosaur, a brand new film from Pixar and creators of Up, Finding Nemo and Inside Out.

In an imaginary present day in which dinosaurs and humans walk the earth together, Arlo (the titular 'good dinosaur') finds himself on a difficult journey after being separated from his family in a flash flood. While travelling through a harsh and dangerous landscape, Arlo confronts his fears with the help of a friendly albeit feral human who, like a 21st century dog, turns out to be a dinosaur's best friend.
There has been a lot of fuss surrounding The Good Dinosaur following the success of Inside Out this year, as critics hope this will be the second in a string of films to mark Pixar's return to form.
We wait with bated breath, then, for the arrival of this hotly anticipated new family friendly film this Christmas, courtesy of director Peter Sohn.
