Alongside Chanel's latest workshops for adults, offered exclusively to Culture Whisper readers, the new Chanel exhibition at the Saatchi gallery invites children to get creative with three different hour-long workshops, adapted especially for little ones.
Little fashionistas can choose between Lemarié, Lessage and N°5 Olfactive workshops, each introducing them to a different element of Chanel.
The Chanel No. 5 Olfactive workshop encourages children develop the associations between sense and sensation, exploring the link between the aromas in daily life and their memories, with an explanation of the workings of the brain. A number of guessing games will bring the experience back to the central issue of Chanel, and children will discover the six key elements contained in CHANEL N°5.
The Lemarie Feather and Flower Maker workshop is inspired French company Lemarié, now owned by Chanel, which specialises in the art of plumasserie, garment fabric flowers and sewing. The workshop introduces children to decoration and to the unique floral and leather designs that are such an iconic part of the Chanel brand.
The Lesage Embroiderer workshop further focusses on Chanel decoration. Little ones will discover the life of the famous French embroiderer François Lesage, who was welcomed into the Chanel galaxy by Karl Lagerfeld in 2002. Experts from the embroidery school will explain the creation process, from catwalk to the high street.
