Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave Autumn Tour 2016

Quentin Blake may forever be associated with Roald Dahl, but the award-winning illustrator is so much more than just that set of loosely penned pictures.

As anyone who has ever visited the House of Illustration's Quentin Blake space will know, Blake has singlehandedly written and illustrated 35 books. And now one of them, Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave, is being translated to the stage by Ga Ga Theatre across some of London's most impressive venues.

Combining original music and magic projections, Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave will tell the story of Mrs Armitage, her custom-built surfboard and dog Breakspear and their quest to find a suitably large wave.

Perfectly timed to coincide with half term and with a starry team behind its creation, Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave is one of London’s most innovative theatre experiences for kids and adults alike.
