You don't often find Culture Whisper in the City - but we'd make an exception to visit the new Soho House Group venue there. The Ned is a big new members club from the iconic group, with nine restaurants, a hotel, swimming pool, club room and much room for entertaining, relaxing and working.

It'll have a New York edge - thanks to US hospitality firm Sydell Group, who draw on Art Deco, Twenties looks, paying homage to the stately building the club will inhabit which was formerly the Midland Bank Building.

Of the 30,000 square metres of club, with over 250 bedrooms of varying sizes, the most interesting bits for Londoners will be the rooftop pool and canopy bar with retractable glass roof, a fully equipped gym, seven international restaurants and a fully-equipped spa with Turkish hamam, a pool and an original old stately Italian fountain.

Restaurants include a grill, a traditional Italian, a Asian-style restaurant with poke and a US-style diner, mostly set within the bank's original grand banking hall. Bookings can be made without a membership, find full details of opening times per restaurant on The Ned's website, below.

Opening date in May: May 2nd
Price: £10 - 65 per head (hotel has cafes, restaurants and bars across all price ranges)
Reservations: 020 3828 2000, or click here
