Londoner's will have often searched - and found - the perfect gin and tonic during a night out. But how many can pride themselves on understanding the craft behind it? This is all about to change. Refuel your appreciation for Bombay Sapphire gin in this initimate experience that leads you and nine friends on a sensory journey across the globe.
Gin masterclasses at The Sanderson Hotel
Starting with Bombay Sapphire in it's pure state, the masterclass highlights the unique use of botanicals in each gin cocktail. Leading the event is Renaud de Bosredon who provides playful and expert insight into the brand. After an initial tasting, the masterclass departs on its worldwide adventure. Those with a sweet tooth will relish the first foray into the Mediterranean, where botanics are emphasised through coffee filled atomisers and spoonfuls of salted caramel. For those who prefer a drier cocktail, you'll love the ginger spritz and seeds of paradise which are enlivened by the sounds of the Souk - a vibrant foray into Africa. Next travel to Asia where stultifying heat heightens the complexities of the flavours to complete your understanding of the process (and the possibilities!).
At each interval, attendees can sample, smell and touch the array of botanics which are blended to create the gin (made in Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mill, should real enthusiasts wish to go on a further journey of discovery).
Set in the luxurious terrace of The Sanderson Hotel this is a fun filled and exotic evening which will turn you from a novice gin drinker to connoisseur within an hour.
