New beautiful boutique hotel, Marylebone
Clerkenwell favourite the Zetter Townhouse – a boutique hotel frequented by the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Daisy Lowe and Tinie Tempah – has a glamorous new sibling just opened on Seymour Street in Marylebone.
The Zetter Townhouse Marylebone and its cushy cocktail lounge
The new hotel has 21 rooms, 2 studios and a rooftop apartment, but as beautiful as they no doubt are, it’s the cocktail lounge (Seymour’s Parlour) that we’ve got our eye on. Done out in the style of a Georgian drawing room, it’ll be open from breakfast until late, with Bruno Loubet, the Michelin-starred chef behind the Grain Store, taking care of nibbles, small plates and afternoon tea.
Menu and mixology at the Marylebone hotel
Add to that a cocktail menu designed by master mixologist Tony Conigliaro and rumoured to include imaginative gems like the Valais Fizz (a blend of Arquebuse vodka, lime, fir essence and soda) and the Turf Club (gin, Dubonnet, grape reduction and Peruvian bitters) and it’s easy to see why this has been one of 2015’s most eagerly awaited new arrivals.

  • About the venue

Owned by Michael Benyan, Mark Sainsbury and Jason Catifeoglou, the Zetter Townhouse, Marylebone follows in the footsteps of the Zetter Hotel and the Zetter Townhouse, Clerkenwell – both on St John’s Square. In 2012 the latter was named Best Place to Drink, by the Observer Food Monthly Awards, and London Hotel of the Year. The personality of the Marylebone branch is inspired by a fictional character known as ‘Wicked Uncle Seymour’, a loveable rogue whose collection of antique curious adorns the individually designed rooms. The rooftop apartment even boasts a terrace complete with al fresco bath.
