Prawn on the Lawn is the surprise toast of Islington, a fishmonger that opened with the intention of serving a little food as a side venture that has exploded in popularity. Prawn on the Lawn menu
All the dishes are served cold, as Prawn on the Lawn doesn’t have a kitchen on site, but this hasn’t stopped the restaurant garnering near-universal praise, particularly for the eponymous dish: chilli prawns served on avocado and soda bread. For a table in their newly converted cellar dining room, booking is essential, as walk-in spaces at the Islington fishmongers are few and far between. It's certainly a contender for the best seafood restaurants Islington has to offer.
