Stelle di Stelle is a pop-up concept with a luxury-twist at Harrods, running until the end of January 2015. It will feature five monthly pop-ups of Italy’s five best restaurants, and with a grand total of 13 Michelin stars between them, Stelle di Stelle promises to be an absolute feast of Italian dining.
Designed to represent “a collection of Italy’s most celebrated destination dining rooms,” each restaurant takes inspiration from their individual settings in Milan, Naples, Florence, Alba and Bergamo. Using only the finest seasonal ingredients Stelle di Stelle is bringing exceptional Italian cuisine right into the heart of Knightsbridge, where London foodies will be presented with a special selection of each chef’s signature dishes.
Organised by Identità Golose, a culinary organisation founded in 2004 by Italian food journalist Paolo Marchi, Stelle di Stelle is part of a mission to promote the best of modern Italian cuisine. The event is sponsored by leaders in the Italian food and beverage industry including, Aqua Panna, S. Pellegrino, Lavazza and Ferrari.
The chefs are: Carlo Cracco whose restaurant Ristorante Cracco (**) is a cutting-edge cosmopolitan Milan dining room. Enrico and Roberto Cerea from Da Vittorio (***) in Bergamo where the Cerea brothers share the kitchen. Gennaro Esposito from Torre del Sarancino (**), a restaurant in a 7th century watchtower overlooking the Amalfi coast. Georgio Pinchiorri and Anni Feoldo of the famous florentine dining palace, Enoteca Pinchiorri (***). And finally, Enrico Crippa whose Piazza Duomo (***) in Alba ranked 39th on The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2014.
