The hype has been building since Will Beckett and Huw Gott announced their plans earlier this year - and now the opening of Hawksmoor Borough is just around the corner.

Perhaps London's most successful series of luxury restaurants is about to expand. The Hawksmoor founders are opening their sixth London steakhouse near Borough Market early in 2017, and it's a pertinent opening, seen as the market was the restaurant's first meat supplier.

A decade on, and the award-winning restaurant group maintains a down-to-earth approach to food, while ensuring their steak is still viewed by Londoners as best-in-class.

Their latest venture has converted an old hops warehouse into a two-floor restaurant with the capacity for 140 diners. You can expect the same high-quality beef and seafood selection you would find on any of their other menus, alongside an extensive cocktail list.

What’s uniquely exciting is its historic location – according to their website, the restaurant will be found ‘within the grounds of a once great palace’. We're intrigued.
