A whole year before high-fashion designers were even thinking about eye-catching furry coats however, a brand-new fashion label Shrimps, from young London-based designer Hannah Weiland, was producing classically shaped faux-fur coats in bright colours. Despite only launching in 2013, Shrimps become one of the hottest rising stars of the fashion world and was snapped up by Selfridges a few months after Hannah was invited to speak at this year's Vogue festival.
We recommend looking out for the classic cut, knee-length, red winter coats from the Shrimps autumn/winter 2014 collection. It comes with four shocking light-blue stripes around the hem, and will put you bang in the centre of 2015 'show-off' fashion trend.
Equally the fur scarfs from the spring/summer 2015 collection can easily be passed off as the perfect winter accessories, with their bands of brightly-coloured fur and luxurious pearl embroidery, guaranteed to add zing to any staple outwear. Keep your eyes peeled for spring/summer leopard print coats, another fashion look of the moment, and the 90s style, open-toed high-heels with band of bright yellow fur along the toe strap.
Outside of the Erdem and Sophia Webster sample sales in the Music Room this month, we think Shrimps is the sale of the season. Check back regularly for more London sample sales, and start planning your must-have purchases here.
