Light is its theme, both as a medium and as a subject, providing the inspiration for the 12 independent designers, artists and engineers whose work the exhibition showcases. Harnessing contemporary materials and cutting edge technologies the artists seek to convey ideas about light, space, time, movement and perception. Light is thrown around the space, reflected or emitted, used to clarify or distort.
Among the works featured are Falling Light, by Will Laslett (pictured top), a kinetic art work inspired by sunlight falling through the foliage of trees, and Cosmobloom, by Heyl Van Dam, a handmade kinetic sculpture that responds interactively to its audience, reflecting light and colour as it alternates between closed and open.

Also on show are Relative Distance's Phase, billed as a longform timepiece and lunar light, which synchronises with the waxing and waning of the moon in the night sky in real time; and Sea of Segments, by Will Muir Llia, a wall-mounted piece showing water cascading across seven-segment displays.
