Ode for St Cecilia's Day, Dunedin Consort, Wigmore Hall Ode for St Cecilia's Day, Dunedin Consort, Wigmore Hall Eloise Barker
Celebrate the patron saint of music with the Dunedin Consort under John Butt, and Joanne Lunn (soprano), Tim Mead (counter-tenor), Nicholas Mulroy (tenor), and Matthew Brook (bass) in a programme of exultant works that includes Purcell's Hail, Bright Cecilia. Among the most intelligent and entertaining interpreters of the Baroque repertoire, Butt and the Dunedin Consort have a gift for breathing new life into even the most familiar and well-loved works, and this St Cecilia Day concert is sure to come from the heart too.
