Sandstorm is also being released as an album. Tracks to be performed live include Pride of a Nation, Riverdance, Music Box, Tango Swing and Brave New World. As Tango Swings hints, there will be many references to familiar forms amid the less familiar tonalities.
Dana, who is at the forefront of professional and influential women in Qatar, is proud to present her country’s culture to a wider audience. She has founded the country’s only record label, DNA Records, and wants to help the world get to know her country's culture better. Her debut album, Layla, was performed by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra at Katara Opera House, Doha, in 2015
She is currently working on a film score.
The LMO, founded more than 20 years ago, is made up of musicians who are at home in the major Hollywood and recording studios worldwide. Their big, dramatic sound will be ideal for this story-like journey in music.
