Christmas is such a wonderful time to a child in London, especially for those with a flair for literature. Between the Tintin exhibition at Somerset House and the Alice in Wonderland retrospective at the British Museum there are plenty of chances to introduce little ones to the marvels of story telling.
But perhaps the most magical, and certainly the most Christmassy this winter holidays, is Paddington Bear's First Concert at the famous Cadogan Hall.
Renowned actors Simon Callow and Richard E Grant join the Mozart Symphony Orchestra in narrating Paddington's journey from his very first meeting of the Brown family to his debut as a conductor at the Royal Albert Hall.
In the careful hands of this creative star-power, children won't need to have seen the recent Paddington film or read the stories to enjoy the performance.
And in the second half of the concert, another children's favourite, Roald Dahl's Jack and the Beanstalk will become the focus of the concert narrated with extracts from Dahl's famous and hilarious Revolting Rhyme poetry.
We predict this will be a truly magical experience for all the family and a wonderful Christmas treat.
