Get ready for three of London's best carol concerts 2017

If you only make one carol concert this year, make it this one. Does it get more magical than Westminster Abbey at Christmas? The two most popular concerts are on the 23 December, and Christmas Eve: services of lessons and carols which will elevate your Christmas spirit to new heights.

Booking opens on 14 November for all the concerts over December.

St Paul's Cathedral Christmas Carol Service 2017

St Paul's Cathedral's carol service is an unticketed event on Christmas Eve and Christmas Eve's Eve where even the queue outside the doors is soaked in festive cheer. Queue on the day on Christmas eve and the 23rd December for the 4pm concert.

Carols by Candlelight, Royal Albert Hall

Last year it was voted the best Christmas venue, and The Royal Albert Hall has a gently alternative Christmas Eve: a candlelit concert that's set in the 18th century with help from the Mozart Festival Chorus and Orchestra, good lighting and full 18th-century costume.
