In the picturesque Carnival of the Animals, with its musical portraits of creatures large and small, he will be joined by his wife and fellow pianist, Gina Alice Redlinger.
The concert, conducted by Mark Wigglesworth, kicks off in spectacular style with the Overture and Venusberg Music from Wagner's colourful opera Tannhäuser. Lang Lang then joins the RPO for a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor.
