Lang Lang and the RPO, Royal Albert Hall

The superstar pianist from Channel 4’s hit show The Piano, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, performs two highly attractive works by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, in two concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.

In the picturesque Carnival of the Animals, with its musical portraits of creatures large and small, he will be joined by his wife and fellow pianist, Gina Alice Redlinger.

The concert, conducted by Mark Wigglesworth, kicks off in spectacular style with the Overture and Venusberg Music from Wagner's colourful opera Tannhäuser. Lang Lang then joins the RPO for a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor.
