The Bright Young Things Film Club presents the UK premiere of The Age of Love, a documentary that follows the comic and poignant adventures of 30 seniors attending a first-of-its-kind Speed Dating event for 70 to 90 year-olds. Fearlessly candid about themselves and what they’re seeking, the WWII babies reveal how worries over physical appearance, romance and rejection change—or don't—from first love to later life.

The BYT Film Club aims to give the public an exclusive opportunity to see films that might otherwise not make it into the cinema due to lack of distribution and to support emerging talent. The next Film Club event will take place in the stunning surrounds of the May Fair hotel, preceded by a cocktail reception sponsored by Ciroc Vodka.

Prior to the main screening comes a look at The Silent Gangsters – a short film that looks at the life of a female gang dealing in cosmetic surgery, directed by and starring Amani Zardoe and Hatty Jones. And after the film proper, will be a live skype Q&A with The Age of Love director Steven Loring, known for his focus on films that examine the cultural and interior lives of marginalised and overlooked groups. Amani Zardoe will join the Q&A in person.

The event be rounded off with entertainment provided by Green & Blacks. No doubt there will be ice cream and chocolate aplenty but for the more calorie conscious, BYT has also promised clean-living snacks of coconut water and Metcalfe's popcorn. Though this is the final event of the year, there will be many more to come in 2016. You can browse this year's highlights and find out more here.
