BBC Proms 2018: Core Classics
The symphonies and concertos no music-lover should be without, played live at the Royal Albert Hall
With its diving opening chords and heartfelt melodies, the Piano Concerto of Edvard Grieg is one of the most loved pieces in the concert repertoire. Khatia Buniatishvili (pictured) is the soloist with Paavo Järvi and the Estonian Festival Orchestra, who open their concert with the Finnish composer Arvo Part's ethereal Symphony No 3, and close with Sibelius's atmospheric Symphony No 5.
