BBC Proms 2018: The Superstars
Here's a pick of top big-name events at the world's largest music festival
A visit to the Proms by the exuberant Budapest Festival Orchestra, under their maestro Iván Fischer (pictured here with the orchestra), is always a highlight of the season. Hungarian folk tunes, with their frenzied dance rhythms, reimagined by Brahms, Sarasate and Liszt, form the core of the evening, alongside Brahms's magnificent first symphony. It promises to be a night to remember.
