Anyone chasing a more youthful visage, in need of some glow or needing help with pigmentation, scarring or acne, should follow Sienna Miller and co's footsteps and head straight to the Kichi Skin Clinic in Mayfair. It is run by Natasha Clancy, a trained medical facialist and skincare formulator and Korean tech fan.
That's why Clancy has invested in a Korean laser. No surprise, as the country is leading the way in skincare and rejuvenation tech. She has brought on board the Lutronic non-ablative thulium laser which creates dermis-level micro-channels in the skin, which means the super serums are absorbed at 90% instead of the usual 5% when applied with fingertips alone.
For me, we opted for a mid-to-deeper level – so numbing cream was applied, and the laser process didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Plus, as everything is bespoke you can have higher or lower intensity.
Clancy massages in a hydrating hyaluronic acid sheet mask and uses Ice Globes to calm the skin. At the same time, you are tucked under a blanket listening to some meditative music.
I did emerge a little pink, which lasted for a day or so but a week on, my skin looks refreshed and rejuvenated – beyond my expectations.
I'm getting more compliments on my skin now than I did in my younger years. Three cheers for hi-tech facials!
