Stephanie Achar Recipe: Detox Juice
If you're feeling a little wilted after the festivities, try this restorative treat from Culture Whisper's resident food and nutrition expert
Green juices are a great post holiday treat. They will help you beat the bloat and will provide you with all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants you need to boost your immunity for the winter.
You'll give a rest to your digestive system because it won't have to break down food but still get plenty of nutrients to heal and repair.
If you find this juice “too green” but still would like to enjoy its benefits add a half granny smith apple for sweetness.
Makes 1 to 2 servings
1 organic cucumber
1 organic bunch of celery
1 handful of organic kale or spinach
½ lemon, peeled
2 cm fresh ginger
Juice all the ingredients and enjoy!
Vegetarian, vegan, free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar
