London Design Festival: where to eat
LDF 2017 is the biggest design movement of the year, but its sheer scale can be overwhelming. When it all gets too much, slip into one (impeccably designed) chair and take stock of each London Design Festival district's food.
There are nine Design Districts this year spread over the capital: Brompton, Chelsea, Islington, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Mayfair, Brixton, Pimlico Road and Bankside: here's where to stop and refresh at each one. Make sure to note down the special LDF offers too.
Since opening its doors in 2002, sketch Mayfair has remained one of London’s most well-recognised artist-conceived restaurants. To coincide with LDF, sketch, a Mayfair Design District partner, presents Cocktail Atmospheres, an exhibition of work by contemporary artists Sabina Belfiore Lucovich, 1millimitre, and Glen Baghurst.
If that's not enough to persuade you to slide into this art lover's haven, the range of bespoke LDF cocktails, imagined by sketch's in-house mixologists in celebration of the Festival, will be.
