It'll have a New York edge - thanks to US hospitality firm Sydell Group, who draw on Art Deco, Twenties looks, paying homage to the stately building the club will inhabit which was formerly the Midland Bank Building.
Of the 30,000 square metres of club, with over 250 bedrooms of varying sizes, the most interesting bits for Londoners will be the rooftop pool and canopy bar with retractable glass roof, a fully equipped gym, seven international restaurants and a fully-equipped spa with Turkish hamam, a pool and an original old stately Italian fountain.
Restaurants include a grill, a traditional Italian, a Asian-style restaurant with poke and a US-style diner, mostly set within the bank's original grand banking hall.
Opening date in May: not yet confirmed Price: there's eight restaurants serving everything from affordable to exquisite food
